Hexanaut.io is an engaging IO game focused on territorial conquest. Avoid crossing your own path and watch out for opponents trying to cut you off. Capture totems scattered across the map to gain unique advantages. How much territory can you dominate? Put your skills to the test in this strategic land-control challenge.
HEXANAUT GAME INSTRUCTIONS
Control your movement using the mouse. Venture beyond your borders to draw lines and claim new areas. Return to your territory to complete the circuit and secure all enclosed tiles.
While outside your domain, you're vulnerable. If an opponent crosses your path, they'll eliminate you, forcing a restart.
Capture 20% of the map to become a Hexanaut. Maintain this territory for two minutes after achieving Hexanaut status to win the game.
Important: If you're eliminated while another player holds Hexanaut status, you cannot rejoin the match.
CAPTURE TOTEMS
Hexanaut.io features five distinct totems with unique benefits. Secure them whenever possible to gain strategic advantages that can help you dominate the map and achieve Hexanaut status.
SPREADING TOTEM
The Spreading Totem is the only totem that directly captures territory. When activated, it emits lasers that sequentially claim adjacent tiles. This proves particularly valuable during early-game expansion when securing land proves challenging.
SPEED TOTEM
This totem boosts your movement speed by 5%. While seemingly modest, this effect stacks with multiple totems. Prioritize collecting these for significant mobility advantages.
TELEPORTING GATE
Teleporting Gates provide instant transportation between locations. They're ideal for navigating large territories quickly and can be used for surprise attacks. Catch opponents off-guard by teleporting to defend vulnerable borders or ambush enemies.
SLOWING TOTEM
This totem creates an area that dramatically reduces other players' movement speed. Use this trap to your advantage by targeting slowed opponents. Conversely, avoid enemy slow zones where you'd be at a significant disadvantage.
SPY DISH
The Spy Dish reveals all enemy territory positions. This intelligence becomes crucial as you expand, showing which areas require defense against encroaching players.
