Among Us 3D Release Updates
Coming May 6
Schell Games and Innersloth have officially unveiled the release date for Among Us 3D. On April 16, Among Us 3D’s official Twitter (X) account announced that players can mark their calendars for May 6, 2025.
Originally announced as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to offer a more inclusive gaming experience with its cross-play multiplayer feature. This week, the developers introduced a new currency called Stardust, which doesn't expire and allows players greater flexibility in choosing their in-game purchases.
Among Us 3D will introduce a permanent Tag Mode with the new Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, refreshed and returning mini-games, and a variety of new cosmetics to enhance your gameplay experience.
It's important to note that Among Us 3D is a standalone game, distinct from the 2022 release of Among Us VR. Cross-play between these two games won't be available. According to the FAQs on Schell Games' website, Among Us 3D is designed to deliver a unique experience tailored specifically for PC players, while continuing to update and support the Among Us VR community.
Wishlist Campaign
Among Us 3D is now available for wishlisting on Steam, and Schell Games has launched an engaging wishlist campaign called the Powered By Wishlists Challenge. By reaching certain milestones, fans can unlock a series of in-game rewards:
- 333,333 Wishlists - A brand-new hat
- 444,444 Wishlists - Another unique hat
- 555,555 Wishlists - A mysterious cosmetic surprise
- 777,777 Wishlists - Exciting new cosmetics, details to be revealed
While the final two milestone rewards are yet to be specified, players can anticipate some fantastic loot to kick off their journey as crewmates. Among Us 3D is scheduled for release on PC on May 6, 2025.
