Microsoft has announced the departure of eight games from its Xbox Game Pass subscription service, effective May 15, 2025. The games set to leave include Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City.

Xbox Game Pass offers an expansive online gaming experience for Xbox and PC users, allowing subscribers to stream games directly on smart devices and consoles, access new titles on their release day based on their subscription tier, and enjoy a vast library of high-quality games with friends across console, PC, or cloud platforms. The following eight games will be removed from this catalog:

Games leaving Xbox Game Pass in May are:

  • Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
  • Chants of Sennaar
  • Dune: Spice Wars
  • Hauntii
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2
  • Little Kitty, Big City
  • Planet of Lana
  • The Big Con

Microsoft is poised to unveil Wave 2 of the May 2025 Game Pass lineup soon after these games exit the service.

In a recent update, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members have been granted a new benefit: the ability to stream certain games directly to their consoles without the need for downloading. This feature was highlighted in an Xbox Wire post, which detailed that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can now stream games from the Game Pass library, as well as "select games they own," directly on their Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One consoles through cloud streaming. Previously, this functionality was available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, marking a significant expansion to include consoles for the first time.

Amidst recent news that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed to May 2026, fans eager to dive back into the GTA universe can find solace in knowing that GTA 5 Enhanced is now accessible on Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass for PC. This is particularly noteworthy for PC users, as it marks the debut of GTA 5 on PC Game Pass.
