The six core Avowed Attributes are:
- Might: Enhances physical and spiritual strength, boosting damage output from all sources and increasing carry capacity. High Might unlocks unique dialogue options, potentially intimidating foes or avoiding conflict.
- Constitution: Improves overall health and stamina, increasing maximum health and resistance to poison and bleeding. It also unlocks specific dialogue choices.
- Dexterity: Increases attack and action speed, enhancing weapon and ability speed, consumable use, and parkour. Reload speed also benefits from higher Dexterity, boosting overall mobility and DPS.
- Perception: Boosts critical hit chance and maximum range for ranged weapons (bows, wands, guns). While offering additional dialogue options, their impact on gameplay is often minimal.
- Intellect: Increases maximum essence and resistance to fire, shock, and frost. Crucial for spellcasters, but also beneficial for characters utilizing essence-based abilities. Additional dialogue options are available.
- Resolve: Improves maximum stamina and Second Wind efficiency. Synergizes well with heavy weapons and tank builds. Dialogue options similar to Constitution are unlocked.
Ranking Avowed's Attributes
While attribute effectiveness depends on your build, some offer broader advantages. Here's our ranking:
6. Perception
Perception's benefits (critical hit chance and ranged weapon range) are situational. While useful against specific enemy types or at long range, its impact is often limited by the prevalence of close-quarters combat. Investing some points is worthwhile, but prioritizing other attributes is generally recommended.
5. Resolve
Increased maximum stamina is valuable, but readily obtainable through unique armor. Second Wind's improvement is less impactful than focusing on health and survivability through other means.
4. Intellect
Elemental resistance is a significant advantage, mitigating damage from common elemental attacks. Increased maximum essence benefits all characters, even non-mages, due to the prevalence of essence-consuming abilities.
3. Dexterity
Dexterity's broad improvements to attack and action speed make it a solid choice for all builds. Increased mobility and DPS make it a worthwhile investment.
2. Constitution
Higher maximum health and resistance to poison and bleeding are crucial for survival. Poison and bleed are frequent causes of death, making Constitution a strong defensive attribute.
1. Might
Might is the most impactful attribute. The damage boost significantly increases DPS, making combat easier. The carry capacity increase is invaluable, allowing you to carry more loot and gear without encumbrance.
This ranking provides a framework for building your Avowed character. Remember to adjust based on your preferred playstyle and build.
