In a recent post on Twitter/X, Bethesda teased the announcement with an image prominently featuring a large "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, leaving little doubt about the subject of tomorrow's reveal.
The buzz around an Oblivion remake has been building for years, fueled by a series of leaks. The first hint came from a 2020 Bethesda release schedule that surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, indicating a planned remaster for fiscal year 2022. Although the document's age and missed release window initially suggested the project might have been scrapped, subsequent leaks reignited the speculation. In January of this year, reports emerged of a full-blown remake in development by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. The latest leaks, just last week from Virtuos' website, included images of the remake in progress, further solidifying the rumors.
If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is expected to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can look forward to a Deluxe Edition, which will include the iconic horse armor, in addition to the standard version.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be the official confirmation and more exciting details about this long-awaited remaster.
