If you're a Pokémon GO player, you're in for a treat with several exciting events on the horizon, including the Catch Mastery event. The game is already buzzing with activities like the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, with Catch Mastery being a part of the latter.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
Mark your calendars for the Catch Mastery event happening on March 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event shines the spotlight on Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. You'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with the exciting possibility of stumbling upon their Shiny versions.
Archen isn't just appearing in the wild; it's also available as a Field Research reward with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers some fantastic XP bonuses: double XP for Nice Throws or better, and also for Curveball Throws.
For those looking for an extra challenge, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-types. Completing up to 10 sets of tasks can reward you with a whopping 40 encounters with Archen.
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon
Don't miss out on the Mega Absol Raid Day, scheduled for March 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol is getting a powerful new Charged Attack—Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently have access to this move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.
In preparation for the event, from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be bumped up to 20. Plus, you can snag up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your total to six for the day.
