Clash of Clans to Remove Troop Training Times in Major Update

Author : Natalie May 26,2025

Clash of Clans, a cornerstone of mobile gaming history, is about to undergo a significant transformation that will undoubtedly shake up the gameplay experience. Supercell has been actively modernizing the game to keep it fresh and engaging for its dedicated player base. The most groundbreaking update on the horizon? The complete removal of training times for Troops, Spells, and Siege units, allowing players to dive into battles with their full army almost instantly.

Following the removal of training costs in 2022, this latest move to eliminate training times is poised to be a game-changer. It's a move that's sure to elicit both cheers and perhaps a few tears from the community. As of today, Training Potions and Training Treats are no longer available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. You can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass, but it's crucial to use them before the end of the month, as they will be converted to Gems.

To help players adapt to this new dynamic, Supercell is introducing a feature called Match Anytime. This allows you to attack a snapshot of another player's base when no real-time opponents are available. You'll still earn rewards, and importantly, players whose bases are used for these matches won't lose anything if defeated. This mechanic, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now become a standard feature.

Be on the lookout for additional updates, such as Army Donations now requiring Elixirs or Dark Elixirs. For the full scoop on these changes and more, head over to the Supercell blog.
