How to Unlock 'Under the Straw Hat' in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To initiate the "Under the Straw Hat" quest, you first need to engage with "In Vino Veritas." Upon reaching Kuttenberg, locate Casper Rudolf on the west side of the city, offering free wine samples. Casper seeks information to enhance his wine and enlists your help. You have two paths:
- Direct Approach: Visit Havel directly. To impress him, ensure you're dressed in fancy attire and well-groomed. During your conversation, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It’s missing ginger" as your responses. Successfully doing so will grant you the information Casper needs.
- Alternative Route: Retrieve Casper's book from Adleta and study it to gain wine knowledge before meeting Havel. This method can enhance your understanding and potentially your dialogue options with Havel.
After obtaining the necessary information, return to Casper and share your findings.
Access the Vineyard
Following your conversation with Casper, your next task is to infiltrate the vineyard north of Kuttenberg to learn more about the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid wandering into the fields to prevent trespassing charges. Instead, follow the main road into the vineyard and speak with the recruiter, who will introduce you to the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue along the road, passing a guard as you enter the estate area, until you reach Jerome, who is seated on a bench. Inform Jerome that you've been instructed to report there, and he will provide you with details about working at the vineyard.
Working at the Vineyard
Your job at the vineyard begins the following day. After a night's rest, return to the vineyard in the morning. You have two options:
- Earn Your Pay: Complete your assigned tasks, which include moving sacks to designated locations and harvesting plants like Thistle around the vines.
- Direct to the Incense: Skip the work and head straight for the wine cellar, located downstairs in the main building near where you met Jerome. Accessing the cellar requires either a lockpick or stealing keys from Jerome. Inside the cellar, locate a chest and take all the Sulphur Wicks within it. This action completes the primary objective of the quest. Additionally, you can collect seedlings in the main building for Casper, which can increase your reward. Be quick, as entering these areas is still considered trespassing.
After securing the Sulphur Wicks, and optionally the seedlings, return to Casper to complete both the "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas" quests. With these quests behind you, you're ready to explore other adventures in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, such as "Master Schindel's Toys."
