CrazyGames is set to launch the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, kicking off an exciting 10-day event from April 25th to May 5th. In partnership with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, this jam invites indie developers worldwide to dive into the realm of innovative web-based multiplayer games. Participants have the chance to win a share of €10,000 in cash prizes, along with premium Photon licenses, including:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The event's only strict rules are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to unleash their creativity and explore new ideas in multiplayer gaming.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, utilizing HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI technologies to deliver seamless browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. Together with Photon, CrazyGames will not only support participants throughout the event but also offer winners the chance to have their games published on their platform.
To gear up for the jam, a pre-jam livestream will take place on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This session will introduce two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, emphasized the potential of these platforms, saying, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all skill levels. For more details and to sign up, visit the official jam page.
