Diablo 4 Latest Updates
Infinite Damage Build Boss Powers Makes Servers Lag
The latest season of Diablo 4 introduces new seasonal boss powers that, when combined correctly, create an infinite damage build capable of slowing down servers. YouTuber Macrobioboi demonstrated this powerful build on May 9, showcasing it demolishing rooms full of enemies using specific boss powers and a Legendary Aspect.
To execute this build, players must equip the Vampiric Curse Legendary Aspect on their gear. This Aspect allows players to inflict a Vulnerable status effect on enemies, boosting damage and ensuring the effect lasts until the enemies are defeated.
The build also utilizes the Flesh Reaper's Disruption boss power, which typically stuns enemies and removes the Vulnerable status. However, due to the Vampiric Curse, the Vulnerable effect persists, causing repeated stuns. The final piece of the build is Varshan's Life Steal boss power, which inflicts significant damage each time a boss power is activated.
When these elements are combined, the game must process numerous instances of these effects, leading to server lag. As shown in wudijo’s YouTube video, the screen becomes overwhelmed with skills and abilities, leaving enemies perpetually stunned. Wudijo commented, "There are a lot of calculations going on, it's very understandable that this is a laggy build."
Blizzard Entertainment has yet to address this resource-intensive build, allowing players to continue using it to defeat enemies, albeit at the cost of server performance.
Worrying Prices with Berserk Collab
Diablo 4's collaboration with the iconic manga Berserk introduces exciting cosmetics and items from the series. However, the high prices of these items have sparked concern among fans.
Players can earn Behelits through gameplay, which can be spent on free cosmetics in the Berserk Reliquary. The free items include:
- Hawk's Destiny Back Trophy
- Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor
- Brand of Sacrifice Marking
- Foretold Eclipse Headstone
- Od of the Berserker Emblem
The premium offerings, which require Diablo 4’s premium currency, Platinum, truly capture the essence of the collaboration. These include:
- The Berserker Armor, Barbarian - 2,800 Platinum
- The Hawk of Light, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
- The Struggler, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
- The Skull Knight, Necromancer - 2,800 Platinum
- The Schnoz, Pet Bundle - 2,800 Platinum
- Warhorse of the Hawk, Mount and Mount Armor - 2,500 Platinum
Each premium skin costs approximately $28, which is half the price of the base game. Purchasing all items would require spending $150 or acquiring a 15,000 Platinum bundle, which includes an additional 3,500 Platinum.
Although these prices are consistent with Diablo 4's previous collaboration with World of Warcraft, they raise concerns about the cost of future crossover events. Many fans are hesitant to invest in these high-quality Berserk sets due to their steep price.
