How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To embark on your journey to the cat island, you'll need to head to the Omi region, which you'll reach around the midpoint of the story. Ensure your characters are well-equipped and ready for the adventure ahead. Navigate northeast within the Omi region to find your destination.
Your target is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water central to the region. It's highly advisable to secure a boat from nearby settlements like Azuchi or Omizo. If you prefer, you can also swim to the island, though a boat is the more efficient option.

Aim for the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, located just northwest of Azuchi. Upon arrival, you'll discover Okishima Island, where you can rest at the Kakurega. You'll notice plenty of fish drying near the docks, a sure sign that this island is home to a particular type of animal.
To immerse yourself in the feline population of Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't miss the opportunity to pet them, adding these charming creatures to your collection for use in your Hideout. Keep an eye out for the rare kittens, as they are particularly elusive elsewhere.

While most Leaps of Faith unlock new map locations, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of these feline friends. After exploring and landing in the haystack, there's little else to do but enjoy the company of the cats. You'll return to Okishima later in Yasuke's story, giving you another chance to visit your new furry companions.
