In the gripping world of Freedom Wars Remastered, players often find themselves navigating the Panopticon's holding cells and The Warren. However, the real challenge lies in facing the towering Abductors, formidable foes that demand the use of every tool available to gain the upper hand.
Freedom Wars Remastered equips Sinners with a diverse arsenal of weapons and items, essential for turning the tide in high-stakes encounters against these powerful enemies. One such crucial tool is the Flare Knife. Below, you'll find a detailed guide on acquiring and effectively using the Flare Knife against Abductors in Freedom Wars Remastered.
How To Get Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is an essential combat item that players can obtain early in their journey. Once you achieve Level 003 Code Clearance, make your way to Zakka in The Warren. Zakka is your go-to vendor for a variety of weapons and combat items, including the Flare Knife, which is available for purchase at 3,000 Entitlement Points.
To equip the Flare Knife, navigate to the Loadout menu within the Personal Responsibility Portal. Select an available slot under Combat Items, and if you own a Flare Knife, it will be listed for you to equip and bring into battle.
How To Use Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is described as a reusable combat tool, perfect for severing Abductor parts. This feature is particularly beneficial for players who favor Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons but still need to sever limbs without switching to Light Melee weapons. Keep in mind, though, that the Flare Knife is a one-time-use item, requiring you to purchase another before your next Operation.
To utilize the Flare Knife effectively, lock onto the severable part of the Abductor and use your Thorn to pull yourself towards it. With the Flare Knife equipped in your active slot, you'll have the option to sever. This action initiates a quick QTE segment where you must rapidly press a designated button to deplete a bar and successfully sever the part. Be vigilant, as the Abductor may attempt to disrupt you by leaping or crashing into a wall.
When playing in an online co-op setting with friends, you can repeatedly snare the Abductor to simplify the severing process.
