Genshin Impact's latest version is arriving later this month
Introducing a powerful new five-star character: Varka
Plus, get ready to revisit Mondstadt for exciting new adventures
Well, it's nearly the weekend, and if you're a fan of Genshin Impact, here's both some good and some not-so-good news. The bad news? There's no major content update this weekend. The good news? You won’t have to wait long for a whole host of fresh additions!
That’s right—Genshin Impact’s version Luna V is just around the corner, set to launch on February 25th! For those who love a touch of nostalgia, there’s plenty to look forward to, but also plenty that’s completely new—like a brand-new five-star character!
The latest addition to the roster, regularly featured in our Genshin Impact tier list, is none other than Varka. This five-star Anema Claymore user brings flair and finesse to battle with dual-wielding swords, and will come with a free new appearance for both weapons!

Throwback to the Roots
But what about that nostalgic feeling I mentioned? Funny enough, this update will send you back to Mondstadt—the very first region of the Genshin Impact journey! You’ll have plenty of ways to reconnect with the early days of your adventure, along with a variety of new activities to explore.
There’s also an upcoming update for the Miliastra Wonderland feature, including a brand-new voice system. With all of this in mind, there’s a strong reason to jump back into Genshin Impact when version Luna V drops on February 25th—especially if you want to relive your very first steps in this beloved ARPG.
So if you’re looking for something to do while waiting for the new update, why not explore some of the other highlights this week? We’ve got our latest list of five new mobile games to try—perfect for passing the time before the big launch!
