Two GTA Titles Are Leaving Netflix Games Next Month

Big news for Netflix gamers! Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City are leaving Netflix Games next month. This isn't a surprise; Netflix's licensing agreements with game developers, like those for movies and shows, have expiration dates.

Why the Departure and When?

The licenses for GTA III and Vice City expire on December 13th. Netflix has already marked these titles as "Leaving Soon." Their one-year agreement with Rockstar Games is ending. After December 13th, Netflix subscribers will no longer have access to these classic titles. However, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remains on the platform.

What Happens Next?

If you haven't finished these games, you can still purchase them individually or as a trilogy on the Google Play Store. Each game costs $4.99, or get the complete trilogy for $11.99.

Unlike previous removals (like Samurai Shodown V and WrestleQuest), Netflix is giving players advance notice. This is interesting, considering the GTA trilogy significantly boosted Netflix Games subscriptions in 2023.

Rumors suggest Rockstar and Netflix are collaborating on potential future releases, possibly remastered versions of Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, and even Chinatown Wars. Let's hope this rumor proves true!
