Fans of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor were thrilled to see new figures in this latest wave of Star Wars toys. Nightsister Merrin is now available as a new figure, and the series' protagonist, Cal Kestis, is part of a three-pack set that also includes Turgle and Skoova Stev. Notably, Cal's figure comes with multiple interchangeable heads, including a popular variant sporting a handlebar mustache. Jing Houle shared with IGN that this particular look was a top priority for the release.
"We just wanted to have fun with it," Houle explained. "This is one of my favorite packs we revealed at the panel. We started with the handlebar mustache and the mullet, then added the clean-cut look and the short beard later. For us, the primary look is almost the handlebar, and it's just so much fun."
Given Merrin's importance to the Fallen Order/Survivor narrative, it was essential to include her alongside Cal. The challenge was to accurately represent her unique Force abilities.
"It's tough to have Cal without Merrin," Reiff noted. "We're glad we finally got to her, but capturing that Force effect, the green blast, along with the new costume and the intricate face tattoos with inkjet printing, was a challenge. There's some beautiful subtlety in her design, and we know fans are deeply invested in her character and the world she inhabits."
This year's toy lineup also features two of the franchise's most beloved characters, Han Solo and Chewbacca. Despite the numerous iterations of these figures over the years, Houle believes there is always room for improvement.
"We haven't done them in a while," Houle said. "They needed an update, so we crafted them with new tools, incorporating the latest articulation. This allows fans to enjoy these classic characters with the most current technology. We've also made significant updates beyond just articulation. For instance, we learned from our previous Wookiee figures to use softer plastics, allowing Chewbacca's head to pivot and move seamlessly despite his long hair."
"We added articulation to Han as well," Houle continued, "but we chose not to include a thigh break to keep the red bars on his right thigh intact. Instead, we added articulation at the top of his boot to maintain a clean look."

Among the new figures, The Ronin from the Star Wars: Visions anime anthology stands out. This black-and-white figure, with only the red katana lightsaber providing color, is a Celebration-exclusive release. Both Houle and Reiff emphasized the importance of getting the small details right for this special edition.
"We kept true to the original design," Houle said. "We incorporated elements of Japanese culture into the packaging, making it premium with magnets for opening, a clean look, watercoloring, and hidden accessories on top of the box. Everything from packaging to design to engineering received meticulous attention."
"We even used Japanese language on the exclusive packaging," Reiff added, "which we don't normally do. But since we're in Japan for this event, we wanted to embrace the culture fully and create a special package with only Japanese text."
Finally, Hasbro unveiled a stunningly detailed Death Trooper helmet as part of their 1:1 scale Black Series helmet line during the Celebration panel.
"It's a fully new tooled helmet for the Black Series Premium roleplay line," Reiff shared. "It looks like it's straight out of the movie, complete with weathering and lighting details. You can control the chin lights and the spectre sensor lights with a button on the side. We worked closely with Lucasfilm to ensure accuracy, using original files to nail all the details, and we added our own touches to the interior, which the real helmets never had."
