While some doubted Games Workshop's approval, Arrowhead Studios head Shams Jorjani confirmed their enthusiasm for such a crossover, stating, "I can say that GW would love a crossover, we're big fans of [Warhammer] 40k ourselves."

Helldivers 2's premium content strategy now prioritizes carefully selected collaborations, as exemplified by the Killzone 2 partnership. The developers have clarified that these crossovers will be infrequent, occurring only when they organically enhance the game's existing world.
The Killzone collaboration also includes a community challenge tied to Galactic War, offering players the chance to earn additional Killzone-themed rewards based on overall team performance.
