LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, set to launch on May 1, 2025, as part of Disney's comprehensive celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day. LEGO traditionally marks this occasion with the release of an Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, it was the Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, fans can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, popularly known among long-time Star Wars enthusiasts as Slave I. The name was officially changed in 2021 at Disney's request, as confirmed by LEGO, to avoid associating 'slave' imagery with their brand. The updated name appears to be permanent four years later.

The last 'large' version of this LEGO starship was released in 2019, celebrating its 20th anniversary with 1007 pieces, depicting the ship as seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new iteration, featuring 2970 pieces, showcases the ship as it appeared in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. With nearly three times the piece count of its predecessor, this model measures an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
