Electronic Arts has officially announced the release date for the next installment of the Madden NFL franchise. This time, the series is taking the full jump to the current generation of gaming consoles.
Madden NFL 26 will launch on August 14, 2025, with a three-day early access period starting August 11 for those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition. The upcoming professional football title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC via the EA app for Windows, Steam, and Epic Games Store, as well as on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Although Madden NFL 26 will mark the franchise's debut on Nintendo's hybrid handheld, it also signals the end of support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Neither of the last-generation systems is listed for Madden NFL 26, confirming the series is fully embracing the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series era.
Multiple pre-order options are offered, including a loyalty discount for players of Madden NFL 25, 24, or 23. This deal includes 10% off the purchase and a 99 OVR Player Pack for Madden NFL 25 Ultimate Team. Alongside this year’s Madden NFL reveal, EA also confirmed that EA College Football 26 will launch on July 10, coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
