Players can look forward to new variants of cows, pigs, and chickens, alongside ambient features such as glittering firefly bushes, falling leaves, and the gentle whispers of sand, adding depth and richness to the exploration experience.
The second game drop of the year, while yet to be named, promises intriguing new elements. A new block, the Dried Ghast, will introduce a unique mechanic where it can be rehydrated to transform into a Ghastling—a smaller, baby version of the iconic Ghast. With proper care, the Ghastling can evolve into a Happy Ghast, a new mob variant. Players can then use a Ghast harness to ride the Happy Ghast, enabling aerial travel for up to four players at once. Additionally, a new Locator Bar feature will help players find their friends easily while navigating the skies on their Happy Ghast. Mojang highlights that the Happy Ghast will be particularly useful for builders in Survival Mode, offering a taste of Creative Mode freedom within the survival context.
Mojang also announced a significant visual upgrade for Minecraft, dubbed "Vibrant Visuals." This update represents the first step in realizing the developers' vision for enhancing the game's visual experience without altering gameplay. In addition to game updates, Mojang shared a new clip from the upcoming "A Minecraft Movie" and announced a movie-themed in-game live event. This event, set to commence on March 25 in Midport Village, will immerse players in a dynamic multiplayer experience alongside Steve and his movie companions. Participants will defend the village from a piglin attack through three mini-games. The event runs until April 7, with the Yearn cape as a reward for those who complete all challenges.

- If you craft a harness for the Happy Ghast, you can tempt it closer with the harness, then jump on it. From there, you and up to three other players can fly around on a single Happy Ghast.
- The new Locator Bar feature, positioned at the bottom of the screen, lets you see in which direction your friends are. This will be useful for finding friends while flying a Happy Ghast.
- Mojang stated that the Happy Ghast will be useful for Survival Mode builders, because "it's a bit like being in Creative Mode, but in Survival." The platform allows players to position themselves wherever they like in the sky and dismount.
