Monster Hunter Now Tests New Monster Outbreaks Feature

In the world of Monster Hunter Now, excitement is brewing with Niantic's latest experiment, the Monster Outbreaks. This new feature is currently in its testing phase, allowing players to provide feedback and help fine-tune it before its official rollout. If you're eager to dive into this thrilling event, here's everything you need to know.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

Mark your calendars! The testing phase for Monster Outbreaks is scheduled to run from April 26th to April 27th. The event will be active twice daily on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time. This gives you multiple opportunities to participate and experience the new feature firsthand.

During the event, specific locations on the map will be designated as outbreak points, where you'll encounter a swarm of 8-star Black Diablos. The objective? Team up with other players and take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak spot within the one-hour window. Note that this count is specific to each location, not a global total.

To participate, you must be at least HR 11. Additionally, the party feature won't be available; only in-person group hunts will count toward the goal. Outbreak points are marked with a special icon on the map, and you can tap on them to view details and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with other hunters.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The mechanics of the slay count add an intriguing twist. If you join forces with three other hunters and successfully take down one monster, that counts as four toward the 100-monster target. Should your group reach the 100 mark before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.

Completing the challenge comes with rewarding loot. If your group hits the 100-monster goal, you'll receive 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Plus, if you sign up on the roster, you'll earn the exclusive Outbreak Test I Medal.
