NieR: Automata Resource Management: Farming Dented Plates
While resource abundance varies in NieR: Automata, the demand for materials, especially for weapon upgrades, remains high. Dented Plates, a frequently needed resource, can be efficiently farmed using several strategies.
Efficient Dented Plate Farming Locations
Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:
- Small Biped (all variants)
- Small Flyer (all variants)
- Small Sphere (all variants)
These common enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on random encounters isn't the most effective method.
Optimal Farming Spot: Adam's Pit
The most efficient location is the pit where you first encounter Adam.
- Fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point.
- Proceed deeper into the ruins and descend to the pit.
- Enemies, primarily Small Bipeds, will continuously respawn, providing a consistent Dented Plate source. This location also yields Titanium Alloy.
Alternative Farming Location: Forest Kingdom
The Forest Kingdom offers another option. Numerous groups of spear-wielding Bipeds can be found here. While individual drop rates might be lower, the clustered enemies often yield at least one Dented Plate per group. This area also offers opportunities to gather Beast Hide. Note that higher-level Bipeds have increased Dented Plate drop rates.
Improving Drop Rates
Equipping drop-rate-enhancing plug-in chips significantly boosts your yield. Remember to avoid death to prevent permanent chip loss. Progressing through the main story increases the likelihood of encountering higher-level Bipeds, further improving your chances of acquiring Dented Plates.
