Pikmin Bloom is gearing up for an exciting 3.5th anniversary celebration next month, starting May 1st, 2025. Niantic is bringing back a wave of nostalgia with the reintroduction of classic gadgets within the game. The event promises a month-long festival of fun, running through to May 31st, 2025.
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted us with various decorative items, including Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. Now, for its 3.5th anniversary, the game is introducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s. Adding to the retro vibe, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be available, celebrating Nintendo’s origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. These cards are designed based on Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks.
Throughout the event, players can participate in missions to earn random rewards such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals. Additionally, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear during the event. By smashing these mushrooms, players can unlock Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
May brings a special bloom to Pikmin Bloom, with the potential to grow into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses when planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them. Alongside this, a nectar update will ensure that fruit harvested from mushrooms in May provides nectar for regular and special flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
