The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon Go is reaching its exciting finale, with Niantic spotlighting the power of teamwork. From Tuesday, May 20th to Thursday, May 22nd, the Strength in Numbers Global Challenge encourages you to send as many Gifts as you can to your friends. This three-day event is your chance to ramp up your social interactions in-game.
During the challenge, you can open up to 50 Gifts per day, which means more opportunities to gather Stardust, useful items, and boost your friendships. But the real goal here is to help the global community unlock a fantastic reward: giftable Special Research tickets for the upcoming Community Day Classic: Machop.
If the global challenge is successfully completed by May 22nd, starting from May 23rd, you'll have the ability to gift these Machop Special Research tickets to any friend who has reached Great Friends status with you. You don't even need to buy a ticket for yourself to share the love—simply head to the in-game shop and start gifting. Each trainer can send up to 20 tickets per day, so there's ample opportunity to spread the Fighting-type joy.
This leads seamlessly into the Machop Community Day Classic event on May 24th, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. During this event, the Superpower Pokémon, Machop, will appear more frequently in the wild, and yes, the Shiny version will be available again, giving everyone another chance to catch and evolve a green-glowing Machamp.
If you evolve Machoke into Machamp up until May 31st, you'll secure a Machamp that knows Payback, a Dark-type Charged Attack, which can give this classic Fighter an edge in certain battles. With the added bonuses of Stardust, three-hour Incense and Lures, and limited-time Timed Research that includes a themed Machop encounter with increased Shiny odds, there's a lot to look forward to.
