March events are in full swing in *Pokemon GO*, and we're gearing up to celebrate the change of seasons with an exciting event focused on bug-type Pokemon. The Bug Out event promises plenty of opportunities to catch these fascinating critters, along with some fantastic bonuses and new avatar items.

When is the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event?
The Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO* kicks off on **March 26 at 10 AM local time** and runs until **8 PM local time on March 30**. That gives you five full days to hunt down those elusive bug-type Pokemon that would make even Misty shudder. This event is also a prime time for Shiny hunting, as nearly every featured Pokemon has a Shiny variant available in *Pokemon GO*.
Featured Wild Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event
According to the official page, you'll encounter the following bug-type Pokemon more frequently in the wild during the Bug Out event:
- Caterpie
- Weedle
- Wurmple
- Nincada
- Venipede
- Dwebble
- Joltik
- Grubbin
- Dewpider
- Nymble
- Cutiefly (with Shiny potential)
New Pokemon During the Bug Out Event
Two new Pokemon will make their debut in *Pokemon GO* during the Bug Out event: Sizzlipede and Centiskorch. You can evolve Sizzlipede into Centiskorch with 50 Sizzlipede Candy.
Featured Raid Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event
The Bug Out event will feature a variety of raids, allowing you to encounter the following Pokemon at raid gyms. Those marked with an asterisk (*) can be Shiny:
One-Star Raids
- Scyther*
- Nincada*
- Sizzlipede
Three-Star Raids
- Beedrill*
- Scizor*
- Kleavor*
All Pokemon GO Bug Out Event Bonuses
During the Bug Out event, trainers will enjoy the following bonuses:
- Double XP for catching Pokemon with Nice Throws or better.
- More Candy for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
- More Candy XL for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws (for Trainers over Level 31).
- Sizzlipede can be attracted with Lure Modules.
- Higher chance of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
- Additional Pokemon will appear near a lured PokeStop if enough Pokemon are caught using a single Lure Module.
Pokemon GO Bug Out Field Research, Timed Research, & Paid Time Research
Spinning PokeStops during the event will yield event-themed Field Research tasks. Completing these tasks can reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with some of the event's Pokemon. Additionally, Timed Research will offer rewards such as a Lure Module and encounters with event Pokemon. The Paid Timed Research includes a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and encounters with event Pokemon. Make sure to complete and claim these rewards before the event ends.
Pokemon GO Bug Avatar Items
Starting with the Bug Out event, new bug-type themed Avatar items will be available in the in-game shop, including:
- Sizzlipede Boots
- Scolipede Jacket
Pokemon GO Bug Out Collection Challenges
The Bug Out event will feature Collection Challenges centered around event-themed Pokemon. Completing these challenges will earn you rewards such as Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon.
