The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket has brought a dazzling array of shiny variants to the game, along with over 110 new cards. The expansion, aptly named Shining Revelry, introduces these sparkling additions, including cards from the Paldea region. As a player, I found myself eager to spend my Pack Hourglasses on a 10-pack pull, and to my delight, I managed to snag a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less exciting.
One highlight from my pull was the Pokémon Center Lady card, which can heal Special Conditions—a valuable asset when facing off against opponents who inflict nasty status effects like Burn.
As with previous updates, Shining Revelry also introduces an Emblem event, allowing players to earn new badges to show off. But the real excitement comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches, where you'll compete against other Trainers to climb from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your progress will be tracked with points, and at the end of the season (lasting approximately one month), you'll receive an emblem based on your performance.
This new feature has reignited my passion for the game, prompting me to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting competitive decks.
If you're eager to dive into the action, Pokémon TCG Pocket is available for free on the App Store and Google Play, with in-app purchases available.
