The Pokémon Company has taken note of the challenges fans have faced in acquiring the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In a recent announcement, the company has confirmed that reprints of these in-demand sets are on the horizon, with efforts underway to ensure more products reach eager fans.
The launch of the newest set, Destined Rivals, has been marred by product shortages, issues with pre-orders, and the influence of scalpers. Similarly, sets like Prismatic Evolutions and the Blooming Waters box have also been exceptionally popular, making them hard to come by.

In a statement published on the Pokémon website, The Pokémon Company (TPC) acknowledged that fans are "experiencing difficulties purchasing certain Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) products due to very high demand impacting availability."
"We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this," the statement continued. "Reprinted products are expected to be available at participating retailers as soon as possible."
The company also committed to "maximizing production" for upcoming TCG expansions to ensure better product availability at launch, and pledged to "continue to reprint impacted products" to restock inventory, including at the Pokémon Center.
In response to scalping concerns, The Pokémon Company indirectly addressed the issue. For Pokémon Center releases, it is "committed to providing a smooth purchasing experience and employ technology that helps get products into the hands of fans first and foremost." The Pokémon Center currently uses a virtual queue system for some products during peak site traffic.
"We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," the company stated. "We’d like to thank the community for their continued support and patience as we work to deliver more Pokémon TCG products to fans."
With these assurances from The Pokémon Company, fans are hopeful that forthcoming changes will ease the stress of collecting and enjoying the Pokémon TCG when new sets are released.
