If you're a Rainbow Six Siege fan, you know that the final day of the Six Invitational is always packed with exciting reveals. This year was no different, as Ubisoft unveiled Rauora, the newest attacking operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora brings a unique tactical edge to the battlefield with her DOM launcher—a deployable, bulletproof shield that can only be placed in doorways. While it can be destroyed using explosives, its real strength lies in its trigger mechanism. Any player can shoot the trigger to open the shield, but the opening speed varies depending on the team: attackers can open it instantly in just one second, while defenders must wait three seconds. This difference can be crucial, especially when the defuser is active and every second counts.

In addition to her gadget, Rauora introduces an all-new weapon to Rainbow Six Siege: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol featuring a red dot sight and an extended magazine for improved combat efficiency. If you prefer other loadouts, she can alternatively wield the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle.
Excited to try her out? Rauora will hit the test servers next week. For those eager to use her in competitive play, she'll arrive on the live servers shortly after—just a bit more patience required!
