Square Enix has delighted fans by releasing SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered on mobile and other platforms. Originally launched on the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan, and in 2000 in North America and Europe, this remastered version breathes new life into the classic with upgraded visuals and fresh content.
SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered Is Now Available on Android
Set in the enchanting world of Sandail, where magic is powered by a mystical force called Anima, SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered follows the captivating journeys of two protagonists. Gustave, a royal with no aptitude for magic, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a lineage of diggers in search of ancient relics known as Quells.
Gustave's tale begins with his banishment from the Kingdom of Finney due to his inability to harness Anima—a critical skill in his society. In contrast, William, or Wil, embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind his parents' mysterious demise and the mind-altering relic called the Egg.
This remastered edition enhances the original game's graphics to a higher resolution, making the watercolor backgrounds strikingly vivid. The user interface has been thoughtfully redesigned for better navigation while preserving the game's classic aesthetic.

What Else Is New?
In addition to the visual upgrades, SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered introduces new storylines that seamlessly integrate with the original narrative. The combat system remains a mix of turn-based strategy with three distinct battle types: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles follow the traditional RPG format, whereas Duels are intense one-on-one confrontations where strategic moves are crucial.
Warfare, on the other hand, offers large-scale strategic engagements that demand a different tactical approach. The combat system feels revitalized, avoiding repetitive encounters and requiring varied strategies for each battle type.
The remaster also reintroduces the glimmer system from the original, allowing players to learn new techniques during combat, and the combo mechanic that rewards chaining attacks with your team. Dive into this enhanced experience available on the Google Play Store.
