Dive into the thrilling world of the cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, where up to six players embark on a physics-based retrieval adventure. Your mission? To explore various maps, secure valuables, and safely extract them. To ensure your efforts aren't lost, it's crucial to understand how to save your game in *R.E.P.O.*
How to Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.
Nothing dampens the spirit of a gamer more than loading a game expecting to continue from their last save, only to find that their progress has vanished. This is particularly frustrating with new releases. Not all games offer autosave features, and some require you to reach certain points or locations before you can safely exit. It's easy to overlook tutorial tips on saving, and sometimes, the instructions are not clear from the start.
In *R.E.P.O.*, remember that the game only autosaves once you complete a level. There's no option for manual saving, so if you exit or die during a retrieval mission, you'll be sent to the Disposal Arena and your progress will be lost. You'll need to restart the level from the beginning. Upon death in *R.E.P.O.*, your save file is deleted, and exiting mid-level means starting over from that level's start.
To save your game, you must finish the level by delivering your collected valuables to the Extraction Point. Then, find your way to the truck and press the message button above your head to signal the AI boss, the Taxman, that you're ready to proceed to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can engage in some shopping before using the same button to advance to the next level.

After leaving the Service Station, you'll arrive at your next location. This is the safest point to exit to the main menu or quit the game. When you or your host (if another player created the original save file) next start the game, you can jump back into *R.E.P.O.* as usual. It's important to note that the game's host is responsible for exiting at the right time to ensure the game saves correctly. Once the host exits, all other players will be disconnected.
