Ubisoft has officially confirmed that Star Wars: Outlaws will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2, although it won't be available at the console's launch on June 5. Instead, fans can look forward to diving into this space adventure a few months later on September 4.
If you haven't experienced Star Wars: Outlaws on PS5, Xbox, or PC, the game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. It follows the story of Kay Vess, a small-time criminal who finds herself marked for death by a powerful cartel. Our review gave it a solid 7 out of 10, describing it as "a fun intergalactic heist adventure with great exploration, but hindered by simple stealth, repetitive combat, and a few too many bugs at launch."
While Ubisoft didn't provide many new details, they did confirm the release date for Star Wars: Outlaws on the Nintendo Switch 2. This news is a welcome update for the Switch 2 Games List, especially as American and Canadian gamers remain in pre-order limbo due to Nintendo's ongoing assessment of the impact of new tariffs introduced by the Republican administration.
The announcement was made during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, where Ubisoft also unveiled the second story pack for Star Wars: Outlaws, titled A Pirate’s Fortune. This add-on will feature Kay teaming up with Hondo Ohnaka to confront Stinger Tash, the leader of the Rokana Raiders. Star Wars: Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune is set to release on May 15, adding more excitement for fans eager to continue Kay's adventures.
