George Miller, a director I hold in high regard, has masterfully crafted two of my most beloved franchises: the adrenaline-fueled Mad Max series and the charming Happy Feet films. Yes, there was indeed a sequel to Happy Feet, which I encourage you to explore further. However, my enthusiasm for Happy Feet often overshadows my discussion on Miller's other works.
The Mad Max films brilliantly weave the raw energy of early '80s action with a visionary portrayal of a post-apocalyptic Australian landscape. Initially comprising three films released between 1979 and 1985, it appeared that Mad Max would remain a nostalgic trilogy. Yet, following his venture into the world of Happy Feet, Miller returned to his roots, reigniting the franchise.
In 2015, with Tom Hardy stepping into the iconic role previously held by Mel Gibson, Mad Max: Fury Road burst onto the scene, earning widespread critical acclaim and securing six Academy Awards. Although the latest addition, Furiosa, did not match the box office success of Fury Road, I firmly believe that Mad Max remains one of the premier action franchises in cinema history.
As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fury Road, I highly recommend embarking on a Mad Max movie marathon. Below, I've outlined your options for streaming all the Mad Max films online.

How to Watch the Mad Max Movies in Order
To watch the Mad Max movies chronologically, follow the release order of the original trilogy, then switch Furiosa and Fury Road:
- Mad Max
- Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
- Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
- Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
- Mad Max: Fury Road
However, I suggest saving Furiosa for last in your marathon. As with many great prequels, some of the most impactful moments in Furiosa resonate deeply with your understanding of the characters from Fury Road.
