Publisher Dotemu, in collaboration with Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, has announced Absolum — a vibrant fantasy beat 'em up infused with roguelite mechanics.
The narrative unfolds in the shattered realm of Talamh, ravaged by a magical cataclysm. Its people now dread magic, and the merciless King-Sun Azra capitalizes on their fears, using his Crimson Order to enslave spellcasters. A courageous band of heroes rises in defiance, featuring the necromancer Galandra, the rebel gnome Karl, the mage Brom, and the enigmatic Sidr.
Players will experience thrilling combat with upgradable skills, impactful combos, and potent spells. Absolum offers both solo and cooperative gameplay, enabling players to coordinate assaults and sync their strikes to unleash overwhelming combinations.
The soundtrack is being composed by an iconic lineup: Gareth Coker (renowned for Ori and Halo Infinite), Yuka Kitamura (celebrated for her work on Dark Souls and Elden Ring), and Mick Gordon (the mastermind behind DOOM Eternal and Atomic Heart).
The game is scheduled for a 2025 release on PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam).
