Subway Surfers is celebrating its 13th Anniversary this month, and SYBO has planned a massive global event for its players. Starting May 12th, you’ll embark on a globe-trotting marathon with Subway Surfers.
The Game Is Heading Back to Where It All Began!
The celebration kicks off in Copenhagen, where it all started. The 13th Anniversary update introduces exciting new content to the Danish capital and initiates a unique daily city-hopping challenge. You'll have the chance to run through not only Copenhagen but also unlock up to 21 other iconic cities including Paris, Rio, Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. To progress through these destinations, you'll need to collect World Tour suitcase tokens in each city to unlock the next one.
This update marks the 200th destination in the World Tour series, a journey that began back in 2013. Currently, Subway Surfers is celebrating Golden Week in Osaka, featuring neon lights, traditional elements, and exclusive content. Meet the new characters Saru and Oni Hime; Saru can be unlocked through the Season Challenge, while Oni Hime is available via a special offer. Additionally, new social features like Player Names and Friend Lists are being introduced. Check out the excitement in the official trailer below.

Originally launched on May 23rd, 2012, Subway Surfers has attracted 150 million monthly players and achieved over four billion downloads worldwide. As it reaches its 13th year and 200th city, the game continues to connect players globally through its local scenery.
