With the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 just around the corner, the gaming industry is buzzing with anticipation. Amidst discussions on pricing, tariffs, and game key cards, one third-party publisher, Take-Two Interactive, is expressing a high level of confidence in the new console. In a recent Q&A session with investors following the company's full-year earnings report, CEO Strauss Zelnick shared his "great optimism" for Nintendo's upcoming platform.

Zelnick highlighted the improved relationship between Nintendo and third-party publishers, noting that this collaboration is more robust than in previous console generations. He announced that Take-Two is set to launch four titles on the Nintendo Switch 2, marking a significant increase in their support for a new Nintendo platform. The titles include Civilization 7, set for a launch day release on June 5, the NBA 2K and WWE 2K series (with specific games and release dates yet to be confirmed), and Borderlands 4, slated for September 12. These choices align with Take-Two's existing portfolio on the original Nintendo Switch, but Zelnick's comments suggest potential for further releases, possibly including titles from their extensive back catalog. While a game like GTA 6 might not be on the cards, there's a glimmer of hope for classics like GTA V to eventually make an appearance.

In a pre-call interview, Zelnick also touched on the development timeline for GTA 6, addressing its recent delay to next year. This insight into Take-Two's strategy and future plans underscores their commitment to the Nintendo Switch 2 and their belief in its potential to attract a wide gaming audience.
