LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, promising a cosmic transformation that will revamp everything from the menus to the battlefield. This update transports players to the Dual Nova galaxy, featuring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star, delivering a fresh and exciting gaming experience.
Three new champions are set to make their mark on the Wild Rift scene, each bringing unique and game-changing abilities. Ryze, the Rune Mage, harnesses immense AoE damage and can teleport teammates across the map with his Realm Warp ability. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives on chaos, using Paranoia to plunge enemies into total darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time, slowing down foes and even reviving allies with Chronoshift.
Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen’s Courage now scales over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will shred enemy armour more effectively. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Additionally, minor tweaks are in store for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a balanced and dynamic gameplay experience.
Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift is set to revolutionize non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase. Mages are also set to benefit from long-awaited item updates. The new Bandle Fantasy item adds extra burst damage, while Hextech GLP800 slows enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance enhances ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.
Ranked mode is also receiving an overhaul. With the launch of the Challenger’s Star, a new season begins, bringing updates to the Ranked store and simplifying the process of earning seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star unlocks, introducing AAAARAM, a novel twist on ARAM with added augments and stunning galactic visuals. The Wild Pass will feature two captivating skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus, with Twisted Fate’s look debuting an entirely new skinline.
