The goal is to be the first to get rid of all your cards.

****** Gameplay ******

Players compete to discard all their cards and avoid being the last player holding cards—who is named the Donkey.

Using a standard 52-card deck with no jokers, the deck is dealt entirely to the players. The objective is to discard all your cards. The last player holding cards loses and is declared the "Donkey." All other players win.

The player holding the Ace of Spades starts the game by playing it. Play continues clockwise, with each player following suit if possible. If a player has a card of the leading suit, they must play it—any value is allowed.

If all players successfully follow suit, the round ends and the cards are discarded. The player who played the highest card of the leading suit takes the lead and starts the next round with any card from their hand.

If a player cannot follow suit, they may play any card from their hand. Play stops immediately, and the player who played the highest card of the original suit must pick up all cards played in that round and add them to their hand. That player then leads the next round.

The game continues until only one player has cards remaining. That player becomes the Donkey and loses the game, while all others win.
