However, the decision becomes straightforward once you compare the outcomes of both options in the game, as one clearly stands out as the superior choice.

Should You Accept or Reject Sapadal’s Power in Avowed?

If you want to maximize your godlike character's potential in Avowed, you should definitely accept Sapadal's power offer during the "Ancient Soil" campaign mission. This choice grants you an ability that is significantly more useful than the alternative.

By accepting Sapadal's power offer in Avowed, you'll receive the superior ability called "Thorn of Sapadal." This namesake power enhances your combat effectiveness throughout the Living Lands with this description: "Fires an energy thorn that pierces multiple enemies, dealing damage on impact and temporarily Rooting them in place."

This ability provides multiple strategic advantages. Not only does it offer additional damage output, but the temporary rooting effect creates excellent combo opportunities with other combat tactics, such as providing extra time to cast and aim powerful spells like Fireball.

If You Reject Sapadal's Offer of Power in Avowed

Declining Sapadal's power offer in Avowed grants you the "Godlike's Will" ability, which provides an additional Ability Point to spend in the Fighter, Ranger, or Wizard skill trees.

This is identical to the ability you would have received if you had refused Sapadal's "Healing Touch" gift earlier in the campaign.

While having an extra Ability Point to expand or upgrade your skills is always beneficial, obtaining an exclusive new ability like Thorn of Sapadal offers far greater overall value.

The only reason to refuse Sapadal's power offer would be if you're intentionally creating additional challenge by making the game more difficult. Overall, if you want to optimize your godlike build and enhance your gameplay experience, accepting the offer is the recommended choice.
