Bunker, Mafia, Spy, and Alias: A curated selection of games designed to challenge your reasoning and develop critical thinking skills.
Bunker is a Russian-born game. Legend says a global catastrophe occurred, and the only refuge is a bunker with limited space. This board game cultivates discussion skills and helps players build compelling arguments.
Players are the few survivors of a planetary disaster. Each one's goal is to secure a spot in the bunker, which has room for only half of them. The group, in turn, must ensure that only those with a healthy genetic makeup enter the shelter.
Moreover, every survivor must contribute value through their skills, as this team is tasked with rebuilding humanity.
Your primary tools in the fight for a bunker spot are persuasion, discussion, and the ability to highlight your strengths. Strategic thinking and calculating your moves are also essential.
- Mafia
A mafia has infiltrated a peaceful town, and the honest citizens must identify the criminals and drive them out to survive. If they fail, the mafia will seize control and the civilians will be doomed.
- Alias
A fast-paced word game that tests your intelligence and reflexes. The goal is straightforward: earn more points than any other team by explaining the words on the cards as quickly and clearly as possible. Victory goes to the best explainer or the most synchronized team of guessers.
- Spy
At the start, each player receives a card with a location—except for the Spy, whose card is blank.
Players take turns asking questions about the location. After answering, a player can pose a new question to the next participant. The game continues until the Spy correctly names the location or a player identifies the Spy.
Any player can accuse another of being the traitor, after which they must present their case.
All players then vote "For" or "Against" the accusation. If the vote is unanimous "For" and the accused is the Spy, the civilians win; otherwise, the Spy's side wins.
If the vote is not unanimous, the game resumes from where it paused.
The Spy can also call for a pause to guess the location. A correct guess means the Spy wins; an incorrect one means the civilians prevail.
