The emmy app unlocks your ride. Use it to locate, reserve, and start a nearby electric scooter. Simple, seamless, and so emmy.
We handle the rest—charging scooters so they’re always ready. Each comes with two helmet sizes and a phone holder for easy navigation.
Setting up your emmy account is straightforward:
1. Download the emmy app and sign up for 4.95€, including 15 free minutes.
2. Register and verify your EU driver’s license to gain access to our electric scooters.
3. Ride: Locate a nearby scooter via the app and reserve it at no cost.
4. End your rental: Park in a public lot within our service area to complete your trip.
How do you start an emmy electric scooter?
1. Open the helmet box: Press the red button to grab a helmet.
2. Release the kickstand: Stand with the scooter between your legs and push the handlebars forward.
3. Flip the red switch to “ON”. Ensure the switch on the right handlebar is on and the side stand is up. For Yadea scooters, press the “P-button”.
4. Start the engine: Pull the brake and press the “Down” switch on the left handlebar to begin.

Ride NIU scooters in Berlin, Hamburg, and Dresden for lightweight, city-friendly travel. Spot Yadea scooters in Hamburg, Kiel, and Munich.
Park scooters in designated moped or bike areas. Avoid bike lanes, bus lanes, or pedestrian paths.
How much does an emmy scooter rental cost?
Sign up for a one-time 4.95€ fee and get 15 free minutes for your first ride (valid for 3 months). Reserve a scooter for free up to 15 minutes. Unlocking costs 1 EUR, with a 0.33 EUR per minute rate during rides. Pause mid-trip for a lower rate.

Over 3,800 electric scooters are available in our service zones (viewable in the emmy app) across Berlin, Kiel, Hamburg, and Munich.
