Pokémon Go has introduced a new $100 Premier Access ticket upgrade for its upcoming Go Fest: Jersey City event, enhancing the experience with exclusive in-game items and upgraded real-world facilities, including "upgraded restrooms."
Go Fest, the annual summer highlight for Pokémon Go enthusiasts, is set to occur at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, as well as in Paris, France, and Osaka, Japan. For those attending the Jersey City event, Niantic has unveiled the option to upgrade their existing ticket with the $100 Premier Access add-on, offering a suite of premium benefits.
Comparable to a Business Class upgrade, the Premier Access ticket grants access to a special lounge area. Niantic describes this space as featuring "upgraded restrooms, portable charger kiosks with lockers, and seating to recharge yourself for your next adventure." Although specifics on the restroom upgrades remain undisclosed, these amenities are intended to enhance the comfort of attendees compared to standard facilities.
Additionally, the Premier Access ticket provides fast-track entry to the Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store at the event, allowing ticket holders to bypass queues and spend more time exploring and playing rather than waiting to purchase merchandise.

The most compelling aspect of the Premier Access upgrade is likely the extensive array of in-game items it includes. Players will receive:
- 100 Poké Balls
- 100 Great Balls
- 100 Ultra Balls
- 50 Silver Pinap Berries
- 100 Super Incubators
- 10 Lucky Eggs
- 10 Incense
- 10 Star Pieces
- 10 Lure Modules
- 10 Glacial Lure Modules
- 10 Magnetic Lure Modules
- 10 Mossy Lure Modules
- 10 Rainy Lure Modules
- 100 Premium Battle Passes
- 20 Max Particle Packs
- 5 Max Mushrooms
Additionally, Premier Access ticket holders will receive an exclusive enamel pin badge.
The response to this premium offering has been varied. Some players have criticized it as an unprecedentedly expensive upgrade, pointing out the increasing number of monetization options within Pokémon Go. Others, however, see value in the substantial in-game benefits and believe it will appeal to those with the disposable income to enhance their Go Fest experience after already investing in travel and event entry.
IGN has reached out to Niantic to inquire if similar offers will be available at other Go Fest locations.
Pokémon Go Fest 2025 is scheduled for the weekend of May 29 in Osaka, the weekend of June 6 in Jersey City, and the weekend of June 13 in Paris. This year's event will focus on the release of the Legendary Pokémon Volcanion and the wider release of the Mexican regional exclusive, Hawlucha.
