Top Jedi Survivors of Order 66 Ranked

Author : Alexander May 23,2025

This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the epic conclusion to the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, it was the last Star Wars film directed by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney seven years later.

Fans were well aware that Revenge of the Sith would showcase Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader, a pivotal moment in the saga. However, the fate of the other Jedi remained a significant mystery. The film unveiled Order 66, a sinister scheme orchestrated by Palpatine, where Clone Troopers, who had fought alongside the Jedi during the Clone Wars, were commanded to turn against and kill them. With thousands of Jedi in service, it was plausible that some would escape Palpatine's grasp, including those we knew had survived into the Original Trilogy.

In the years since, canon Star Wars stories have introduced us to dozens of Jedi who survived Order 66. We've compiled a list of the top 10 who've left a significant mark on the Star Wars universe. Some of these survivors lived only briefly after Order 66, while others endured much longer, and in some cases, their ultimate fate remains a mystery. What unites them is their resilience in the face of Palpatine's decree to "Execute Order 66."

For our list, we've set specific criteria: the characters must have been part of the Jedi Order before Order 66, regardless of whether they achieved the rank of Padawan, Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, or were simply young Jedi Initiates. This excludes Force-users like Maul and Palpatine, as well as those who never officially joined the Jedi Order, such as Jod Na Nawood, despite receiving some Jedi training.

We debated including Asajj Ventress, who was trained by Jedi Master Ky Narec on Rattatak for over 20 years. However, since she never visited Coruscant or met the Jedi Council, and later turned to the Dark Side under Dooku, her status as a Jedi is ambiguous. Therefore, she's an honorable mention.
