CD Projekt Red has announced plans to showcase more of its upcoming RPG The Witcher 4 this week during Epic Games' technology showcase. In a social media post, the studio confirmed it will present "the innovative technology and features powering The Witcher 4, and beyond" at tomorrow's State of Unreal briefing.
First Potential Gameplay Reveal
The State of Unreal keynote begins at 9:30 AM ET on June 3 and will be streamed live. Last year's presentation included an in-depth look at Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra from former Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig.
This year's focus on The Witcher 4 could mark the first actual gameplay or in-engine footage for the highly anticipated sequel, which has only been revealed through a CGI teaser trailer so far.
New Technology Preview
CD Projekt's mention of technology that will power "The Witcher 4, and beyond" raises interesting questions. This could hint at development tools for future Witcher games, or possibly even shed light on other Unreal Engine 5 projects like the next Cyberpunk title.

A New Era for The Witcher
The upcoming sequel represents a fresh chapter for CD Projekt's flagship franchise, with Ciri - Geralt's adopted daughter - taking over as the new protagonist. The studio previously faced criticism over this casting decision, to which original Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle responded that critics should "read the damn books."
Stay tuned to IGN tomorrow for complete coverage of the State of Unreal presentation and what could be our first real look at The Witcher 4 in action.
