The READY! for Kindergarten app is your go-to tool for preparing your child for future learning and success in school through engaging, interactive gameplay. Each game is crafted to develop a specific core skill, and the design encourages repeated play. This repetition is key, as young children thrive when they practice skills hundreds of times in a nurturing and supportive setting.
To gain more insights into the skills each game targets, simply tap the "i" icon in the lower right corner beside each game icon.
As your child interacts with the games, the app tracks their progress and sends this data to the reports section. This feature allows you to monitor how your child is advancing in particular skill areas. The reports compare your child's achievements with those of similar-aged peers across the U.S., helping you identify areas where your child might need additional focus.
For children aged 2 to 5, our app's games are designed to teach essential skills such as singing the ABC song, matching letter shapes, pronouncing letter sounds, expanding vocabulary, counting to 30, and recognizing emotions.
The foundation of the READY! program rests on 26 Age-Level Targets, which are measurable skills that a typical 5-year-old should master before beginning kindergarten. These targets, developed over seven years, are the result of collaboration among early learning experts, families, scientists, and educators.
