The much-anticipated single-player action game, Lost Soul Aside, originally slated for release on May 30, 2025, has been delayed by three months, with a new launch date set for August 29, 2025. This announcement comes from the game's developer, Ultizero Games, who have been working on the title for nearly a decade.

In a statement, Ultizero Games expressed their gratitude for the global support they've received since the initial announcement of Lost Soul Aside. "We are truly grateful for the positive response we've received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside," the developer stated. They emphasized their commitment to delivering a high-quality gaming experience, explaining that the additional time would be used to further polish the game. "To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch."

PlayOriginally conceived as a passion project by solo developer Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside has evolved into a major title under Sony's China Hero Project. Bing, now the founder and CEO of the Shanghai-based studio Ultizero Games, has seen his vision grow from a solo endeavor to a highly anticipated release.

In a recent interview with IGN, Yang Bing discussed the extensive journey to bring Lost Soul Aside to fruition. The game first caught the public's attention in 2016 when Bing's initial reveal video went viral, showcasing a blend of Final Fantasy characters and Devil May Cry combat. Since then, the excitement around Lost Soul Aside has only grown, highlighted by its feature in Sony's State of Play broadcast.

The game's protagonist, Kesar, utilizes a versatile, shape-shifting weapon that allows players to switch playstyles. Alongside Kesar is a dragon-like companion named Arena, who can summon abilities to aid in battle. Lost Soul Aside draws inspiration from its predecessors, focusing on aerial dodging, precision timing, combos, and countering, all set within large-scale boss fights. The narrative takes players across multiple dimensions, weaving a sci-fi premise with various contemporary aesthetics. While the trailers offer a glimpse into the game, Bing describes Kesar's journey as one of "redemption and discovery."
