Dying Light 2 Gets Free Roguelite Tower Raid Mode

Techland continues to redefine the Dying Light 2 experience with Tower Raid, an innovative roguelite-inspired mode that delivers adrenaline-fueled, unpredictable survival gameplay. Following extensive testing last year, this much-awaited feature has now launched, offering a radically new way to confront the infected wasteland.

Rather than controlling protagonist Aiden Caldwell, players will embody one of four specialized warriors—Tank, Brawler, Ranger, or Specialist—each with distinct combat styles that encourage diverse strategies and cooperative play. For the ultimate challenge, players can reduce their squad size or attempt solo infiltration of the deadly tower.

With three customizable difficulty settings (Quick, Normal, and Elite), each run varies in intensity and duration. The tower's procedurally generated design ensures no two ascents are alike, with dynamically shifting environments and unpredictable enemy encounters demanding constant adaptation.

A novel progression system guarantees meaningful advancement even after failure. Each unsuccessful run unlocks new weapons and abilities that strengthen future attempts. Deep within the tower awaits Sola, an enigmatic merchant offering elite rewards—including the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol—for skillful survivors.

While preparing for Dying Light: The Beast, Techland remains dedicated to evolving Dying Light 2 through 2025. Planned enhancements include upgraded co-op systems, refined matchmaking, expanded community map support, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a revolutionary weapon class, prologue improvements, and significant visual and performance upgrades.
